Villages Connected

This year individuals, business owners and non-profits have a new way to demonstrate their commitment to changing the world. Villages Connected is inviting people to commit to acting socially as an alternative to making a traditional New Year’s resolution.

Instead of committing to changing something about themselves, making a Social Resolutions means committing to changing the world around us. Starting January 1st, Villages Connected invites you to share your resolution for what you plan to do in Canada or abroad and who you will collaborate with to make it happen. You can also connect with others who can help make it happen, discuss innovative ideas and help others achieve their commitments.

Social Resolutions for individuals can range from donating to a humanitarian organization, volunteering in their community, or even reading a book in order to become more informed about an issue. Non-profits can lay out how they aim to foster change and showcase their targets for the New Year. Businesses can commit to building their corporate social responsibility through donations, volunteer projects or partnerships with non-profits making a difference. The options are endless.

Ultimately, it doesn’t matter whether you resolution leads to change in Nanaimo or Nairobi, Kenya. What matters is that you commit to making it happen.

Share your Social Resolution today!
