Inspire Art's Page

Inspire Art is a community-based and participatory non-profit organization that is committed to raising public awareness and developing an accessible archive about community-engaged arts in the Montreal region.

There are three primary goals of the organization:

* Increasing public awareness:

1. posting community-engaged events, news, and programming updates on InspireArt.org
2. presenting the Inspire Art Festival (The Inspire Art festival is currently being organized to be presented in May 2010.)

* Enabling communication and idea exchange:

1. facilitating the infrastructure for comments and exchange related to the website posts
2. hosting the on-line Inspire Art community forum to serve as both informative message board and an on-going dialogue about community-engaged arts in the Montreal region.

* Creating a public archive:

1. on-line documentation of community arts news and events that are archived by month and year, by medium, general social context or "community" as well as by various related topics of interest.
